Description

VERTICAL CABLE 265-SLV01 SERIES – OPTICAL FIBER SPLICE PROTECTION SLEEVES, 1.57 IN. & 2.36 IN., 100-PACK

The 265-SLV01 Series fiber splice protection sleeves are heat-shrink sleeves designed to protect and reinforce fusion splice connections in optical fiber installations. These splice protection sleeves feature a three-layer construction with polyolefin outer tubing, EVA inner tubing, and a stainless steel reinforcement rod for optimal splice protection. Available in 1.57 in. (40 mm) and 2.36 in. (60 mm) lengths, each pack contains 100 splice protection sleeves for high-volume splicing operations.

KEY FEATURES

Here’s what makes the 265-SLV01 Series essential for professional fusion splicing:

  • Two Length Options: 265-SLV01-3A at 1.57 in. (40 mm) or 265-SLV01-3B at 2.36 in. (60 mm) to accommodate different splice configurations.

  • Three-Layer Construction: Polyolefin (PAO) external tubing, Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate (EVA) internal tubing, and stainless steel reinforcement rod.

  • Heat-Shrink Design: Shrinks at 212°F (≥100°C) for secure, permanent splice protection.

  • Stainless Steel Reinforcement: Internal rod provides mechanical strength and prevents fiber bending at the splice point.

  • Compact Final Diameter: External tubing shrinks to 0.098 in. (2.5 mm) for compatibility with standard splice holders and trays.

  • 100-Pack Quantity: Packaged in re-closable PE bags for convenient storage and job-site use.

  • Lightweight Design: 265-SLV01-3A weighs 0.014 oz. (0.40 g); 265-SLV01-3B weighs 0.023 oz. (0.65 g) per sleeve.

APPLICATIONS

The 265-SLV01 Series excel in any fusion splicing application:

  • Fiber Enclosures: Protect splices in wall-mount and rack-mount fiber termination enclosures.

  • Splice Closures: Reinforce fusion splices in outdoor aerial and underground splice closures.

  • FTTH Installations: Secure splices at residential fiber termination points and distribution hubs.

  • Data Center Infrastructure: Protect high-density fusion splices in backbone and distribution cabling.

  • OSP (Outside Plant) Networks: Provide durable splice protection in harsh outdoor environments.

WHY CHOOSE THE 265-SLV01 SERIES FIBER SPLICE PROTECTION SLEEVES?

Professionals choose the 265-SLV01 Series because they deliver reliable, long-lasting splice protection. Here are 5 reasons to stock them for your next fiber project:

  1. Superior Splice Protection – Three-layer construction with heat-shrink tubing and stainless steel rod shields splices from mechanical stress and environmental exposure.

  2. Consistent Performance – Shrinks uniformly at 212°F for secure, professional results with any standard fusion splice heater.

  3. Two Length Options – Choose 40 mm or 60 mm sleeves to match your splice configuration and fiber slack requirements.

  4. Bulk Quantity – 100-pack packaging ensures you have adequate supply for large installations and ongoing maintenance.

  5. Universal Compatibility – Standard 2.5 mm shrunk diameter works with Vertical Cable splice holders and industry-standard splice trays.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Once you’ve stocked the 265-SLV01 Series:

  • Add Splice Holders – Order 265-HLD01-2B-00 adhesive-mount holders to organize and protect completed splices.

  • Pair with Splicing Stage – Use 268-ACC03-11-00 for enhanced splice management in EZ Series enclosures.

  • Store Properly – Keep sleeves in the re-closable PE bag to protect from dust and contamination before use.

  • Match to Application – Use 40 mm sleeves for standard splices; choose 60 mm for applications requiring additional fiber protection length.
